Het pal just read over your thread and the tank is looking great, what is your long term goal for the tank? Yours is a little smaller but some of those early stage issues that I had might be similar to yours. Just keep me posted if you need any help

Ya but we had 400 w lights laying around and a fish store has the same size with 3 400 w and it is just fine

The water is looking clearer after a day of skimming its almost time to start curing the rocks and going through the algae cycle... anyone have personal tricks?

Reflectors make a big difference, you don't need that much light.

Check out the MH/T5/LED all in one by CoralVue. The reflectors for the halides make all the difference.
