So the wife and I had the Vortech's on this tank for a couple weeks. She and I decided to go back to a closed loop with an Oceans Motions device so I sold the vortechs.

She has been doing her own research here and there and wanted to look into the Tunze stuff. We tried one a while back and she said it was a bit big for her liking and mine which is why we went the Vortech route. However, thinking of what it will take to do the OM she wants to consider doing the Tunze again. A complete tank tear down, drilling glass, plumbing, etc. etc. is a lot of work. Not to mention a big mess for a weekend or more.

We were thinking the 6101 (2) with the 7095 controller.

The other option to reduce pump size was the 6055 (2) on the 7095.

Opinions? Advice? Suggestions?

For a softie or LPS tank a couple 6055's with a strong return flow should be fine but for SPS you really would want the 6101's or at least 3 6055's.

It's going to be an SPS and LPS tank Roger. With that said, what would you recommend now?

The 6101 is the best option in my opinion since you would really need 3-4 6055s which gets you into just as much real estate lost as 2 6101.
