125 build

It is still not a complete system with only one tds meter, and that garden hose adapter is not really the best to use. Will is a ok guy whom just started a store. The housings are all old, and the fitting types are older too. Bring the system in to our tempe location, and I will set you up at a good deal for the other tds meter, manual flush, garden hose adapter, and more tubing.

Ya I am aware he just opened a store. The garden hose adapter is a pain at times. I am grateful that you are willing to help me out. I'll have to figure out my schedule and when would be best for me to come in. Also it would not be till at least Thursday pay day when I have money. Lol

I took a few pictures of the screen tops on the tank that I made this past weekend. The screen in the center is very snug in there. No wiggle room. The ones on the end I'm able to remove with out a problem with that's fine by me. I wanted them to be a perfect fit and I got it.

Yesterday I went to spectrapure so Jeremy could make the minor adjustments to my system.
He added :
a manual flush kit
Another tds meter
A tee with ball valve ( so I could switch between ro and rodi a lot easier)
10 ft of ro tubing.
He installed all the piece except the extra tubing gave me the instruction manual for the max cap system and manual flush.

He was very helpful and answered all my question and told me that if I had anymore question I could contact him direct. I know Jeremy didn't have to go out of his way to make this right when it was not anything that spectrapure did or Jeremy did, but he did with open arms and great customer service. My experience was excellent. I will contact Jeremy when question do come up.

Now while I was there at spectrapure Jeremy mentioned something to me. He told me that someone suggested that he take a look at my thread. Not sure if it came from a spectrapure employee or someone here. Regardless of who made the suggestion to Jeremy, thank you very much for the help.

Now after I got home I installed and took some new pictures.

Here most of the pictures

I was able to give my used skimmer a bath today. It needed it too. And after lots of looking through pictures and different threads and forums I found out that this is a reef octopus 2009 nwb 200. I'll take a better picture after its 24 hr vinegar bath.

Nice and impressive basement sump or what appears to be a basement sump. I'm excited and can't wait to get my 125 wet. I'm so close but yet so far away. Still need to buy salt, glass baffles for sump and spray paint to paint my 125. Going to be blacked out on three sides. Oh its going to fun moving the beast out side to paint. Paid day needs to hurry up and get here again.

Thanks on the sump. It took me a little over one year to build the whole system. Been running now for five months. Hand built sump stand, DT stand and canopy, basement water changing station...... Yea, a year. These things take time, money and a lot of patience, but I love it.

By the way, is your 125 a 6 footer?

I can agree and related. This is my second attempt at building a tank. My first attempt. Was with a 90. I had a accident. I was building the stand and my circular saw went through my wrist and was out of work for six months. Had to learn how to use my left hand again since i cut three tendence.

And yes tank is a six footer. Mix drums right behind them.

Its sure been a journey however now I want it to be over with. Want to be able to enjoy the tank.

Like I said so close but so far away.

After my vinegar bath I rinsed each piece. I broke the skimmer down as much as I possibly could. Here are some pictures

The first two pictures are of the pump disassembled and inside pump.

The next two are of the skimmer body and pieces for the skimmer.

The last one is the skimmer reassembled.

I figured at this point I should make sure all the placement for my baffles won't need to remeasured due to the size of the skimmer. I was a little nervous on this however the skimmer fits without a problem and all my baffles can remain as is.
