I have a 125 gal fowlr, I have recently broken down my reef and have some questions about keeping a fowlr

tank 125 aga
sump 55 gal
tunze 6060+seio 1500
1200 gph overflow
mag 9.5 return
mtc skimmer
36 w uv steralizer
phosban reactor (running carbon at the moment)

3 inch sand bed
about 130 lbs lr
--------------------------

stock:
dwarf lion
purple firefish
bi color angel
6 line wrasse
pair tomato clowns (very small)
damsel
-----------------------------
cleaner shrimp
peppermint shrimp

I want to keep a community tank (very colorful) but I dont want to overstock, but I want more fish. I have roughly 200 gal system with bi weekly 5% waterchanges @ 1.019 salinity. can you suggest some nicer community fish. am looking into a harlequin tusk and a potters angel ( i know the tusk might go after the shrimp, but have heard of many tuskfish living in a reef environment)

ok so let me have it

also I would love an achillies tang.

I agree skip the damsel and get a flame hawkfish... mine has an awesome personality, is always out, and is very pretty.

the shrimp are in danger of being eating by the dwarf lion as are the some of the smaller fish you listed.

absolutely you can add more, most of your fish are going to stay very small. i do not suggest an achilles tang if you are planning on maintaining the peace
why not add about 5-6 more firefish so that they group together the way they do in the wild?
the harli although one of the most peaceful of the large wrasse like fishes, i dont reccomend becasue you cannot expect him to not eat all of his bite sized tankmates. i am all for not gambling.
the potter's angel would be cool, but i woudl be a bit cautious because you already have the established bicolor. if you could put the bicolor into quarantine, move the aquascaping around a bit and then add the bicolor back at the same time you acclimate the poter's you should be okay.
i am surprised that your dwarf lion is being so well behaved towards his bite sized shrimp and fishy tankmates. sounds like he swims in a lion buffet.
you seem to have lots of red and purple in your tank, why not add someone blue?
regal blue tang?
school of chromis?

black and white heniochus? they school or can be kept singly
buddah cadrinals? like to school
generally most of the peaceful fish are going to be small, when kept singly they suck but when in a large school like in the wild they are truely eyecatching and impressive.

the lion is real small, smaller than the shrimp at the moment. one of the small clowns is missing though and i think the lion is the suspect. oh well, the clowns were part of a trade, I really wanted the lion. thanks for the suggestions.

I appreciate it
Dan
