Hey Greg...beautiful tank

My question is how big where each of the tangs when you first got them and how long did you plan on keeping them in the 125 gallon ?

beautiful tank! Keep posting the pics! I just got a pair of baby bluethroats, they are great. If you decide you want more fish, or replace some... i would def consider them. Very shy, but very beautiful. Keep up the great work! :)

The sailfin tang I've had since my last tank and he really hasn't grown a ton, my chevron tang was about half the size and I've had him for about 6-7 months, the blonde naso tang I bought large because I wanted to make sure the one a I got had a lyretail and scalpels. I plan on keeping them until there is a problem or they show a sign of unhapiness. If you plan on getting a chevron tang make sure it is your last fish, they become very territorial with age and mine even harrased the tusk for a week. Sorry I didn't have time to answer your PM.

I've pretty much decided on getting one whenever I come across one that I like, I'll tell one of the LFS owners I deal with to fins me a nice one.
Thanks for the comments, I'm actually going to try and get some video because Fastuno said he would find a place to host it.

A video would be nice to see Greg... There's another fella that posted one on his "Room devider" tank project ( I think that's right )... He also had some cool music to go along with it ... I'd really like to see how those SEIO pumps look in action in your tank since we're pretty close to the same size...

fishman, videos are cool because they show more of the 3-Dness of a tank.

sbgreen, thank you.

Here's some cool shots I took of my Chevron Tang

Yes I do ( like the avatar ).... I'd like to know how you load one up ... I really hate this generic one that I've got ..... Greg you don't have to tell me about the videos.. I've already seen how cool they are... Just like I said in my last post.... By the way.... have you checked out the thread on the fox corals?? Do you have one yet? ... I'm going to try and get one next trip I make up to Atlanta... Very nice looking and easy to keep...

fishman, to upload your own avatar you have to take a pic and resize it so that it is less than 8.1kb and I think 100x100 resolution. Then you go to "My RC" at the top of the page, click on "Edit Option", go to the bottom of the page and click on "Change Avatar". From there you just browse to your pic and it will upload it.

Thanks Greg.... Yea I tried to do that with one of my pic's of the Lobo that I just got ... could not get it to go below 19k... I'll try and use a lower setting on my camera....

If you have a photo editing software like photoshop there's usually a save for web option that let's you go real low. Check out the photograhy forum for resizing software

Looks beatiful and profesional looking. Its tough to make a tank that nice in Hawaii. It looks like you really know what you are doing. Mine is close JD

Got it.... My wife used photoshop....

How do you like it??

Very nice. Good music too. It almost sounds like Robbie Williams to me. And that one colorful clownfish looks like two fish connected together. ;)

Lovely corals. The close-ups helped.

melev, don't you ever sleep?
That's actually Coldplay.
I lost a lot of color in the video but oh well.
Thanks

Wow Greg, that is incredibly inspiring. I really have to consider my downsizing after that...

Very well done Greg.... I can't believe that it's only taken you ( now 9 months ) to get where you're at.... And it "is" very inpsiring to people like me who are still "new" to SW Reefkeeping... My tank is just now 6 months old ( I think I've already told you that ) and it shows me what I have to look forward to if I keep doing it right....

I think we ought to look at starting a new thread just for tank videos... What kind of camera did you use to get the video??
