I recently bought a 125 Lee Mar tank and was in need of a good solid stand. So I found someone to build me a steel stand.

I ordered all my plumbing parts from bulk reef supplies, which should be arriving soon. Once I get those I'll assemble the plumbing and post some pictures.

Then the next piece I'm getting is my skimmer a svs3- 30 life reef

Once I get that I'll work on assembling all my baffles for my 55 gal sump.

Thanks. I'll be completing the plumbing tonight and posting the picture of that then as I build it.

It will take me a while to get everything but when I do it will look nice.

However where the tank sits now is not its final resting spot. When I'm all done with it, it will have a 65" flat screen tv above it with a movable arm bracket.

I just finished the plumbing. I had a black vinyl hose for the drain which hasn't arrived yet, should be getting that Thursday. Now it is time to work on getting the skimmer.

is the tank on the stand backwards? I think you have two vertical support posts in the front and one in the back. I would rotate it to have on in the front and two in the back. That way you have more room to pull the sump in and out.

Looks correct in the last pic, but backwards in the first few pics.

Nice tank, BTW!

Nice tank! I'm running the same skimmer and it has done a nice job. I think you'll be happy with your decision.

I've heard such good things about the life reef skimmers and after reading the thread I decided to go for it. I'm looking forward receiving it.

Yes I have the two vertical posts in the front. The single vertical post in the back. Hasn't change since I posted the first pictures. Also btw its not in its final resting place. It's just a temp place to piece it together.

I'm going to have a tv above the tank when I'm done. That was I can watch my tv and my team all at the same time.

So I have to flip the stand around so the two vertical posts are in back and the single post is in front? That is my understand.

I didn't think of where the most weight would be on the stand. I got it and put the tank on it.

Before I flip the stand around that is what i need to do can some please confirm that, the two vertical posts need to be in back by the overflow and the single vertical post needs to be in front.

Thank you

Ya, two supports are in back. You will also notice that top rail is skinnier than the others, that's to give extra bulkhead nut clearance. But it is fine either way, your choice as long as bulkheads clear

I don't mind switching the stand around the way it was suppose to be. I should of asked but didn't think it mattered.

Thanks. I think I will switch it around. Now I have another question about the stand. What do most use to wrap there steel stand? Wood with magnets for access to the sump? I want to add something around the stand to protect the stand.

Yes; you'll want it the other way to make working in the sump much easier once everything is up and running. You'll thank everyone later! :)
