125 tank for trade

Nice avatar! What is that your IQ? By the way I was there and did pick up a few of the tanks THAT I GAVE AWAY TO FRIENDS thats not the point. I was only interested in the 125 and any 40's for myself. I also dont care what you think, I just dont want anyone else cheated by you, and you have proven your a dishonest person with no problems trying to hustle someone else. Heck for all anyone here knows you live in a ranch with no midget staircase at all.

Just to clear up a few things and set the record straight.

You said you finish the basement yourself and didnt want to have to fix up a wall getting it downstairs. It very easy for him to think you also finish the stairs going down to the basement.

aaronpentz The reason why people are upset is the tanks where given out free to help the local reefers. the AGA selling tanks they build for profit doesnt fit at all since there a business that buy materials to make something to sell for profit. There a business if they dont make a profit they close down. On the other hand you think of it this way thoese companies give out promotional things to people for free but in turn you have to promise never to sell or trade it. You give it away for FREE or trash it anything else and they can charge you. If you gave someone free corals to help out there new tank and in turn they took um and sold them to other for profit how would you feel?

For the tank not being held for you Adam said in his post at 7:30am and I quote "All the 125's are spoken for and all the 40 gallon acrylic" and further said he doesnt open to 10:00am so unless it was picked up before the owner even opened the store it was held.

Exactly and well put! I got there before 10 and was there till after 11 am talking to Adam and saw 2 people come pick up tanks, Heck I helped load their cars and 1 guy came back to get a second one.

To all reading this post beware of all trades now and in the future with this person he continues to show a lack of integrity

I dont see how it doesnt fit. Its not like hes trying to make a large profit out of this. Not even a profit at all. He wants to downsize. The only person that I see this whole deal benifitting is the person that he trades to. And I know perfectly well how to world runs. Someone provides a service or product at a marked up price and sells for a profit. Any idiot can figure that out. As far as im concerned is that he traded the store for the tank.

The store didnt have to worry about trashing the tank, or wasitng room in the dumptser. This site is about helping people in this very expensive hobby. and I just dont see how he's not. hes trying to help someone that has a small tank that wants to go large. Its not like hes asking 400 cash only.

And by the way I have never recieved anything from any manuf. for free. The only people that I see getting stuff like that would be the LFS and you know that they are not going to give that stuff away.

As far as holding the tanks I was not aware of this. In the first petland post he said hes not holding tanks for anyone and it was strictly first come first serve. I wasnt able to take any of the tanks so I never gave the thread another look. And didnt bother with the second thread. Sorry

Aaron the point is this the store wouldn't have trashed the tank if I didn't take it for myself I had 2 others that couldn't get there that I would have picked it up for all 3 of us had an immediate use for it. JBW took it just because. Look through all of his posts about this tank he has already turned down offers not counting mine. It doesn't matter how you use a business example here what he did was nothing more then a dishonest hustle.

Think twice about any future dealings with JBW and make sure you aren't getting hustled.

I also saw that you resealed the 125 which now means I wouldnt take it from you if you paid me $25.

I have to say that I have resealed many tanks, from a 15g hex, 55g & 125g. I am by no means any kind of "expert". That 55g, I had for 10 years & after I resealed it, was good for another 17. I jsut sold it & told the fellow to reseal it again, before he used it. The 125 was good for over 15 years after it was resealed & then I lost track of it. Who do you think the makers of these tanks get to seal them up in the 1st place, rocket scientists?

Give the guy a break, he just got there before other folks that wanted the tank did. He thought it would fit. It's now his right to do what ever he wants with it. Maybe if you folks were nicer, he would have given it to you! I am so tired of people getting reamed for claiming free stuff. I have missed out of tons of good stuff that was supposed ot be 1st come/1st serve, racing over to the person's house to buy it & then all the good stuff is "saved" OK, so that's another subject). I have also claimed free stuff & given some of it away to friends that have been generous to me & kept the rest. I was the 1st one to claim the stuff & it was no ones business what I did with it. If you have nothing good to say, than say nothing at all. I am so sick of all the negativity on this forum! I joined this forum & CMAS to learn & make friends with similar interests, not to hear this junk. :mad2:

Puffer the resealing isn't the issue. I have resealed tanks and bought tanks that I know have been resealed. It is who did the resealing and this guy is a real piece of work. That's why I wouldn't trust it. Losing out on something to someone who is using it is one thing. Having someone be greedy and take it just to take it is another.

I got creamed in another post of his about this same tank. Being called a sissy and baby and other things when I cried foul when he first tried to hustle some one. Go find the thread and see that I not only apologized but offered to help him get the tank in his basement. I ran an aquarium maintenance business, worked in a few fish stores and have worked for movers in my work history so it was a qualified offer. Now here is comes a new post that he tries and hustle someone and to be honest it isn't just me that is noticing this time.

By the way cut to the chase this way too. On this forum he was trading stuff. When it time to get cash for it he posted in another forum. When asked about he lied saying first he kept them and then came back and said "have you been to my house "

There is no way to sugarcoat it this guy is just looking to take advantage of people and doesnt deserve a break.
