12g Nano build/upgrade

Hey everyone, I have had a 12g Jbj Nano on the kitchen counter for about a year and a half now. Aquamaxx Nemo light, maxi jet 900, chemi pure elite, purigen, and water changes. I finally got the ok from my better half to plumb it to the basement. I have a sump/fuge tank from my 65g before we moved that I'd like to use. Add a skimmer, ato, and macro algae to the system, along with a much easier and more efficient way to do the water changes. (I'm also building a mixing station and adding an ro/di unit to it). I ran 1/2" and 3/4" flex tubing to the basement, and attached them to corresponding pvc hard pipes to run horizontally to my new "œfish area". Thoughts or advice? (8' vertical, 30' horizontal) I appreciate any input!

Can anyone offer their opinion as to if those tubing sizes will work? Also, any suggestions on a good return pump? Jebao or vectra m1?

You're drilling and plumbing the 12g , not another tank, to a remote sump, correct?

If so i'd recommend a vectra S1 instead of the M1, smaller, cheaper, and lower flow ratings- much better suited for a smaller tank. Do you have any pictures of the tank and potential sump/plumbing setup?

Yes, I’m looking to take my 12g and just plumb it into the basement. Everyone around here keeps telling me that I’m nuts, and that it’s an awful lot of work for just a 12g, but I think it would really improve the quality in the tank and also streamline things a lot. (Plus, if the sump/fuge is set up, maybe I can talk my mrs into letting me set up another larger tank agin at some point!) I can try to get a couple of pics this afternoon after work. I was hoping to not have to drill the tank as it’s already up and running, but make a 3/4” pvc overflow/siphon...thoughts?

I think its a great idea, if it wasnt so much work i'd have a sump under my 16g

as far as a pvc overflow/siphon, i know it can be done but I dont have any personal experience with it/ have done any research on it
