Wanted to post some photos of my 12g Nano. i had a custom built stand and canopy made....its a Tennecor "style" acrylic tank with a built in overflow and skimmer, Cap 800 return pump, Rio 600 on skimmer.

For the canopy....I installed a 70w-10K Metal Halide, 2-9w actinics, 1-moonlight and a 3in PC fan, ALL QUICK RELEASE for easy removal.

Livestock for now:
20#'s of Tonga branch and around 10#'s Fiji, cleaner shrimp, mini grn brain, 4year old leather i've had, couple shrooms and a nice rock of bright GSP....and of course a mini-frag-rack! :D :D

Cheers.

thanks ALL....give a month or two and i'll update progress!

.....Inflames...my cat is the coolest..........goes by the name; Tommy Boy! Him and his sister, Gerri Girl, are 8yrs old now!

Hey thats some interesting 'scaping.

Is that an aptasia or hydra on the edge of that rock overhanging the frag rack? Maybe you should nuke it.

Nice beer mug too ... ;)

Racenrich thats a great setup, question for you, who built the stand? was it someone local to chicago?
I need to get a stand for my new setup and would love to have one built instead of buying the premade junk.

What was the pull out shelf for? Photography? or just tests and random working space..?

Thanks again.....

I wanted something different and my neighbor, the woodworking guy, added it for convenience and of course the custom look!!
As you see from viewing straight on, you cant even tell there is a shelf there. :D

Some people have asked, I'll post a shot of the inside of the canopy tonight.

Cheers,
RK

Dohc,
I just posted...its my neighbor that is the woodman....hes made 5 custom stands and canopies thus far...each one outdoing the last. He is currently working on a custom 180g setup for a friend of mine.

FYI....being custom built they aren't cheap....this little setup cost me $300 and the 180g setup is just under $1400....Granite, your getting....exact specs, 3/4th wood (any type), custom trim, SOLID as a rock, etc.....as in anything, you do get what you pay for.
I'm sure you see the quality and craftsmanship by the photos i've posted.
