12gal nanocube with MH lighting and kent marine liquid reactor... can i keep a clam?

so i have a 55 gallon tank i am parting with
i had a maxima in there under a mere 108 watts of T5 light (clams realllllly clsoe to the surface) for 2 years and a crocia for 4 months
the only equipment i run on this tank is HOB filters and powerheads, no sump, no reactors, no skimmers, nada and aisde from some calurpa i have been doing dandy. all i do for the clams and hard corals is kent marine liquid reactor

i have aquired a 12 gallon nanocube with MH lighting as i will be down grading from the 55 gallon to this nano and an 24 gallon aquapod with PC lights.

so my question is what do i need to know about keeping 2 clams that are in the 3-4 inch range happy in such a small tank? all i have been using is kent marine liquid reactor all these years on the 55 gallon so i assume i just watch my alk/calcuim and dose as needed and i will be fine?

and can either clam stay in the aquapod with PC lights? it has a delux hood from nano tuners and is like 50 watts more than what the clams are under currently (but i get a feeling PC lights are less intense than T5 so more watts does not equal better?)

i need some advice, i know people keep clams in nanos i just need to know if the liguid reactor is enough for a smaller tank

Hey CoralKitty! As far as the nanocube goes, you need to make sure that you keep your parameters on lockdown. As you probably know, smaller tanks change quick. As long as you're watching the usuals (pH, Ammo, Nitrite, Nitrate, P04, Ca+, Alk, Mg, Salinity), I think you'll be fine. As far as the Kent liquid reactor, I don't have any experience with it. You may have to get some supplements that change Ca, Mg, and alkalinity independently to have a little more control. This is assuming you're using a 150w halide; if you're using a 70w, I really don't know if it's enough. I would imagine it is at shallow depths.

I would have to discourage keeping either clam under PC's; they just don't have the intensity no matter the wattage in my opinion.
