Thank you...always welcome to come up and visit...
I have not always added pairs or a 3rd at the same time...
I don't doubt that nor would I think with the tank space you have it would always be required especially when pairing properly sized fish together. Say I wanted 2 pairs of centropyge in a 120 you best believe I'm pairing them in qt and then introducing so I don't have issues.
congrats, she looks amazing ! good size too !
Ted, when you have time, can you give us a run down of your QT set ups, filtration, and so on ? perhaps a pic of the sump of the main tank tooI am sure it would help alot of us designing QT and ...
They spend time in the 2 qt together..there is a lot of pvc pieces for them to hide in..the dt has plenty of lr set-up in a way to provide areas of refuge for all sizes of fish, and I keep them very well fed...lights off for a few days when adding fish to dt and I keep the lights dialed way back if I am not in front of the tanks...ime/imo bright lights often lead to increased aggression...
The joc is not a hybrid...Centropyge joculator from Cocos Keeling...
thanks..she is a great size!
pretty sure most of those pics are in here...the 2 dt fuges are def in here...
dt and both its fuges are bb...
the qt are a 250 and 125...both bb as are the fuges...only pvc pieces, no lr..
will try and get some pics this weekend...
thank you. I will check again![]()
do you run skimmers on both as well ?
do you test or care about no3 at all ?
I guess since the conspic came from DD it was already eating ? I hear thats the main problem with them . and one of the small reasons Im afraid to try it![]()
Ok, so say I want to introduce a Flame and Lemon Peel at the same time. You say put them in QT at the same time with minimal light and lots of PVC and I should be good?
I do not run a skimmer on them unless I need the extra help...
Yes, test for all and keep them spotless..
The conspic did come from Kevin.
She ate immed for him and was eating in the bucket while I acclimated her...
wow thats amazing. congrats again.
and thank you for your help Ted![]()
I hope so...flames can be pitas...I would put the lemon in first while the flame is in an isolation box...after a week of so release the flame...
Pitas, pain in the as-s
Isolation box- a box used in the tank that allows the water go flow through and the fish to see each other but keeps them separated.
ahh. Thank you for the clarification. Didn't know Flames were such pains. Thought they were easy.
The Conspic and Collins are looking nice and healthy! Maybe the Colins will pair with the Venusta?
