130 X 36 x 36 inbound...any suggestions?

thanks...not sure if colins will go into main dt...

I was going to ask if the Colini was going into a smaller dedicated tank. I don't know how that fish will fare with all the other angels in your display, despite the size of the tank and all the rock you have. I have only had one opportunity to get a pair back in late 2009, and opted not to because the fish looked rough and I knew they wouldn't handle competition for food. I didn't have other set ups at the time to put them in. Colini now seem almost impossible to get. Good luck with it.

yeah, going to see how things play out...she is eating well and seems to be a tough lil fish but not sure i want her in dt...she is a huge fish...

3.25"=Huge :confused:

they max out at 9cm...she is the largest centropyge that dd has ever seen or sold...
she might be closer to 3.5 which is essentially 9cm...
she is also a very old fish and I wish she had been left behind to make more...

edit- I should also note they have a higher body than other centropyge which makes them look even bigger...

3.5" is not huge. Maybe full grown for that species but its not literally a huge fish... My buddy just picked up a damn near 5.5" potters angel. Now that's a huge centropyge. Why wouldn't the colini hit the DT?

for a colins and a few other similar centropyge it is...potters is not in this group...you are comparing apples and oranges...and these fish are fairly rare, the large ones need to be left behind...
wouldn't go to dt because they are very shy and sensitive fish, that live in caves and dark areas and often live much of their lives swimming upside down...
my dt is not a group of very shy and sensitive fish...

Nice pictures like always, this time my wife was sitting next to me as I looked at them, she asked what the conspic was, it was one of her favourites.

Thanks, it should like a lot nicer soon I hope, I am moving very soon and I have already bought new LED lights for the tank, just waiting to move to install them, no more T5s. As well I am replacing some of the ugly power heads with Vortechs, should help with appearance. I am still waiting to find a good deal on a larger tank, hopefully soon.

Killer! I saw you were looking for an 8 footer, you are going to love it..and will have room for a Conspic for your wife, lol...

here is an interesting pic that shows the Colins and the Conspic side-by-side...
the Conspic is small it is true but just look at the size of the Colins....

Just loving that conspic! My LFS wants me to get one since apparently there are several at the wholesalers, but I'm traveling a lot right now, and don't want to burden my tank sitter with a $2K fish in QT :)

if they are small, ask them to hold one for you!
this is the smaller of the 2 Kevin got back in nov/dec...she had some initial issues while with him but is doing great and eating everything...her facial color and blue eye rings are beginning to fill-in...
