Ahh so you beat me to the manderin :hammer: lol

greedy and quick? more like smart and HAVE TO BE....awwww, Shawna...sorry..Mandarin is for my daughter...she has a HUGE pod build up in her nano...she really needs this guy!

Many mandarins are very picky eaters and will only graze natural food from your live rock (pods, other micro-life). I'd be hesitant to put a mandarin in anything smaller than a well established 60 - 70g tank unless it was fat, happy, and had already been readily eating a variety of prepared foods for a long time.

so, a well established 20g with visible pods swimming all over and on the glass won't work? i mean...it's loaded.

Mike, question for you, is the mandarin eating frozen or pods only?

They will chew through the pods in a 20 in no time. After that, the pod populations wont be able to reproduce fast enough and will die out.

Unless maybe you have a large fuge attached

If it's the only pod eating fish in the tank it might work. You would probaby have to feed the pods and keep them reproducing. I'm not sure, I just remember lots of stories of mandarins withering away in 75 gallon tanks because they ran out of pods to eat.

The Mandarin has been living for over a year now and is a happy camper. I've watched him eat Frozen Mysis and it's cool watching him filter it through his gills. Of course Kat, it is up to you on your decision. He is as healthy as a mandarin can be and does eat frozen as well as pods.

Dont worry Kat I gave up trying to buy stuff you always beat everyone so I figure why bother haha Good catch on the powder blue one of my favorite fish. Very hard to keep happy though

Geez, I also forgot about my Coral Beauty Angel. I've had it for over a year now. It has not nipped at my corals but I can't guarantee it won't. $20

Mike I'm really wanting to pull the trigger on the Orange shoulder Tang. Just really wondering how he would do with my Powder Blue and Blond Naso. If he didn't work out I would have no were to place him... I'm thinking hard... Anyone have more experience ring in.

He was introduced as the largest and never seemed to really bother anyone. My yellow tang actually harassed him for a few days then finally left him alone.

There is interest in the 7 " Orange Shoulder Tang-$70 but nobody has given me anymore than interest.
4" Yellow Tang-$40
4" Clownfish(not sure either percula or oce) $15
3" Pajama Cardinal-$15
4" Falco Hawkfish-$30
4" Coral Beauty-$20
2-6+" Engineer Gobies-$15 each

Sorry I'm not good with these selling multiple items so I'm trying to keep up...lol.
