14 Gallon Bio-Cube questions

I've been in the process of setting up my 14 gallon bio cube and have some questions.

1. It seems like if I pull the sponge out I get a good amount of air bubbles, any mods to prevent this so I can remove the spunge?

2. Would a Maxijet 1200 be too much flow and will it fit in place of the stock pump?

3. Any good recommendations for a heater?

I use a 15w VisiTherm Stealth heater... I'm not sure you could easily replace the stock pump... And I'm not sure which sponge you're talking about???

I got the hydor 50 watt heater it fits perfect in chamber 3. Maxi jet 1200 I have not tried but I plan on it, and no it is not to much flow. Just clean the sponge with weekly water change that is what I do

I used a stealth heater a hydor and a mini jet 606 and opened the flow from chamber 1 and 2 a little I am trying to get some pic's up but I am kinda have a little trouble. Good Luck
