14 Gallon Rimless tank

I finally got my paint yesterday. I put a couple coats on. Only a thousand more to go.... Its a really dark blue/green metallic but it may end up just looking black. Oh well, It was worth a try to do something different. I need to do a couple more coats today and then I'll put it in the sun and take a pic of the color.

One coat:

I think (5) coats:

On another note I got my rock from marco rocks. He hits it on the head every time. I got a great set of rocks and already have my aquascape planned out. It looks KILLER.

Also I decided to forgo the mangroves. Im so happy with my aquascape that I think it will just take away from things instead of adding to them. Im gonna see if a mod will take "mangrove" out of my thread title.

We have water!.......... and a leak:(
Not a big deal. The overflow bulkhead had a small leak so I drained the tank, pulled it out, and put a ring of silicone around it. I'll fill it back up in a couple hours.

Let the waiting begin!

aghhi hate my job and photobucket not working boohooo :(

LOL
Dont worry. Its just yellow water.

Firstly, the boat pic with the beer looks fabulous. Take me along next time :-P

The fit on the desk looks like it was made for it. The cleanliness of the rimless and lack of visible cords/equip makes this absolutely gorgeous in my eyes.

Love the aquascape- leaves room for open fish swimming enjoyment, as well as plenty of surface area for corals.

Looking forward to more updates!

Yup. Cat Harbor on the back side of Catalina Island.
Im leaving tomorrow to go fishing. I guess there have been a lot of yellow fin, blue fin, and mako sharks at the 14 mile bank.

Couple more pics:
Everything is up and running so I guess now its just a waiting game.

Sump area (Everyone has this nest :D )

A little wider shot of the tank on the desk.
The fan on the desk is hooked to the RKL. It turns on if the tank is above 77 degrees. So far it hasnt broken 76.
