This is my ORA Nathens Montipora that I picked up in the DC area last year.

Now it has grown into this:

So here is my delima, it is outgrowing the area that it lives in, do I frag it out or do I sell it whole?
It is shading three other SPS that are farther down in my tank.
The amazing thing is that I can move the whole piece, it grew up and out and it never attached itself to the LR that the frag plug was inserted to. I think that the zoa's kept it from attaching.

Very nice..The bad thing about milles is that if they are healthy they are almost as bad as xenia..But i love them i have like 5 of them

Yes it is under T-5's. That should let some of you see that the T-5's really do produce nice growth and color.
I'm not sure that I want to ship out any frags at this time, but I may consider that if I decide to frag it out.
The second picture is a top down view. The piece is about 9-10 inches long and about 7-8 inches wide.

I hate to bring in any debate, as no doubt that is a beautiful coral and really loves it's habitat, but T5s produce just as nice growth and color as MH, and the real important factor, significantly more so than lighting of any sort, is the rest of the tank parameters, which I imagine you are on top of considering the beauty of that piece :)

I have a milli that sat for about 6 months while I only dosed kalkwasser, while the rest of my Acros took off, and then when I switched to 2 part, and later a calcium reactor, the Milli really picked up pace and kept up with the rest of the corals.

Tank parameters are VERY important, but I'm not sure that they are significantly more important than lighting... Bottom line is that you aren't going to get that kind of growth without a properly set up SYSTEM... All parts are equally important...

Sweet growth Garry, thanks for sharing... :) Been anywhere good/interesting lately???

nice! very impressive growth. from t-5s even! Id like to see some more acro colonies from your tank

Thank you everyone for your comments.
Randy, well last week was Oklahoma City, and this week is New Jersey. So no, it hasn't been any really interesting places. Tomorrow I am going to go to Tropicorum(sp) from the Nj reef club it is supposed to be the LFS to visit in the area.
I'll post some more of my SPS pictures when I get back in town. But my SPS are not in the same category as some of our members that have larger tanks like Jeff, Dave, and Chris. I just wish that I could have a larger tank. I miss my 90...
And like Randy said, it is all about your total system, not just the lights, or your Ca level, but everything. Stability is the most important part of any system.
