150 is being filled

I started to use it last night. I was previously using Reef crystals and I liked that too except for mixing it.

I found it really easy to mix the Red Sea. How do you like it low

i just have used it for a mouth.my corals like it.my fish have more color to them.it seem like my Phosphate are going up with this salt. my Phosphate was always from 0ppm to 5 ppm if i needed to change my Gfo.now it is 10ppm to 15ppm with this salt.that the only thing i don't like about it.

Water is all in, Salt is in and right where it needs to be. Fired up the pump and had a tiny leak but got it fixed, right away. Today im off to Phishy for some filter socks and maybe a new heater. Then going to throw a raw shrimp in there to get the cycle rolling.

Here it is full and ready to go. My only concern is how to get the cycle started? I was thinking of using a raw shrimp but I have heard that is bad. Any other suggestions on how to start the cycle? The rock in the tank is 90% Macro rock and the other pieces in there are from my 65. Should the live rock be enough to start a cycle?

The rock would be the best bet since it is from another system and would have the type of bacteria you are after. Looking good!

Looking good. You should be fine using cured live rock for your cycle, but you may have to be careful about loading your fish too quickly.

I actually only have one fish left in my 65 that i will be transferring over. The rest have died due to a mishap with some toxic carbon that I bought. So this for sure will be a slow process.

how is cycle you tank with the live rock from your old tank going? i don't think i have tried cycle a tank this way. it sound like it would be better to cycle a tank this way.

how the tank coming along?you have a really nice tank.

Thank you so much, The tank is giving me goose bumps its really coming along. I got my GFO reactor set up and running as of yesterday. Im just looking for some biopellets next that I will start down the road.
