will be doing a 260 gallon water change too tomorrow to reduce the Nitrate levels I have now.

been to the beach again this morning and collected about a 100 more nassarius snails and some other snails and hermits.
Added most of them to the Refugium and seahorse DT this time. Only added a few more nassarius to the main tank.

Added also 260gallon FSW to the system. Filled up the storage/water changing tank and put it online and also the refugium is now online. This makes to complete 1000++gallon system online now.

The system now runs at around 80.6F as most fish can handle a bit higher temperature and no corals will be added any time soon. The system will be brought to the required temperature of 77F over the next few months at what time corals will be added.
also the Ph sits right where I want it and looks close to perfect. This is taken at noon and drops at night to about 8.19 which is a very acceptable fluctuation right?

have a few patches of hair algae growing now on the rock but seem to be staying well in control. Hope in a few days that I can add a few rock cleaning crew and add a few surgeon fish that will be able to take care of this. Nitrates stay well in check and phosphates still show 0.00 readings so I hope hair algae will stay in check.
Currently also setting up my fish lists/orders so I hope by the end of this week or next week I have already a few fish swim around the system.

77 is the absolute minimum.
the chiller is set to work between 77F and 78.8F
due to the constant air temperature being over 86F the temperature in the system will most likely hold around 78.5F and 82.4F
very hot here all year around which makes the tank heat up very fast

flew for the day to Kuala Lumpur while the wife went shopping in Bangkok.
When I got back from KL the wife was waiting for me and she bought those 2 little ones.
Told her no fish yet but what could I do.
Guess more fish to follow soon then.
Will be stocking some tangs to start grazing the algae.

haha, thats the only reason i got my 2 clowns. Cause the wife really wanted Nemo! Great looking tank. Looking forward to seeing more fish.

Nitrate 5 (still bit high)
Phosphate 0.03
Alkalinity 7.67dKH 2.47meq/l
Calcium 356 (low)
Magnesium 1050 (low)
will be doing one more 20% water change and see where the parameters sit then.
As the idea is to wait with corals I guess I dont have to worry too much yet about these low Calcium and magnesium levels right?

Finally removed the stitches so I could start working again.
Crawled under the tank again and turned the oceans motions around in the hope solving the problem with the sand inside the device.
Re-plumbed the entire closed loop to the pump.

It looks like the Tangs I added did an amazing job and got rid of all the algae. It helped maybe to that since then the Nitrate levels went to undetectable and Phosphate is quite stable at 0.04 now for a while already.
Anyway tank is hair algae free and even the diatoms on the sand are fading away.
