im going to be setting up a 65gallon ( 36x18x24 ) tank and was thinking about getting 2x175watt 10k MH with 4x95watt VHO actinics. its going to be a zoa/ric/soft coral tank, with maybe a few SPS at the top. does this sound like a good combination of lighting to you guys? will 175watts be enough to keep zoa's and rics at the bottom in a 24" tank?? any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

With sps on top it would be no problem, I have the same wattage mh on a 12" deep tank and light is sufficient for most acros at any depth, very-high light acros need to be in upper 6-8".

I'm using 150watt MH's ( plus 4 x 96watt pc's ) across my 150gal which is a little deeper but then again you have to take into account the sand depth which brings it up an inch or so.... I see no problems with your lighting at all ....

Good choice IMO.... just remember that your zoo's may not like being too close to that much light.... Your softies should like it though....
