Hahaha! That was me manually goofing around, I still have an issue between my computer and uploading the images to photobucket, which is why the images are all so tiny.

Try going to account option on Photobucket and decide on the size of the image you want Photobucket to resize the picture to. The clam picture is 800x537 you could have large dimension be 1000 with the file size still being acceptable.Very nice clam Guess it's tiem for a FTS with all those additions?

There is apparently a photobucket glitch which is causing all my photos to be so small. They are trying to fix it, but have no ETA. What may just happen is all my past photos will remain small, and any new ones I upload will be larger.

Today was a good day!
- first day at my new job; little work, lots of pay, just how I like it!
- frags showed up today, I got 6, but did not get the ponape birdsnest I placed the order for
- RKE showed up, and cost $34 in duties.

Of course you all want photos....

The ozonizer finally arrived, and it was the wrong unit. Its just the AquaZone and not the AquaZone plus. However now that we have the RKE, we can use it to monitor the ozonizer.

Baking the beads to recharge them. For everyone who isn't colour blind, you can seem the starting to change around the edges.

I use TMPCC to dip all my corals before they enter my tank, and they undergo an inspection for redbugs, flatworms, and nudibranchs. If I could I would treat all incoming SPS with redbugs, however it has become almost impossible to get interceptor here. Most vets acknowledge the existence of redbugs, but refuse to prescribe the medication even with a sample of the SPS and literature.

Anyways, I wish Tropic Marin would change the way the distribute their Pro Coral Cure. I think the bottle has a lot of issues. This is my second bottle, and its leaky! My first bottle somehow got air in it, and it dried out over the course of a month.

Nice update. Congrats on your goodies. It seems like every order you get has one thing wrong in it.

The squirt top on that bottle is worthless. I've seen this multiple times now. Better to get a good cap and screw that one, and toss the pump section. You can use a pipette to dose from the bottle, once you know how much 1 squirt contains.

Now that every vet uses computers in their offices, it is very easy to have them just go to my site's page about Red Bugs. They'll see the images, the dosing procedure, and the bugs. I don't know of anyone that has been turned away after providing that link to their vet. Usually everyone in the office wants to see it. Let me know if you need the link. If you have a SPS frag with red bugs, take it along. I think you'll have a blast telling them "It's right there, just to the left of the polyp's opening... no, down slightly, right there. Can't you see it?! It's plain as day to me! Geeze...."

We've decided to stop ordering from this particular vendor. I've had enough of the excuses for why our orders are ALWAYS wrong.

I actually compiled a small binder of literature from various sources, and passed a copy onto THREE separate vets here in town. All of them turned me down. One did offer to prescribe it only after they could see the red bugs. However since I don't have them, and only want to use Interceptor as a preventative, it doesn't work for me. They also required an in home visit to the tune of $350...

I'm pleased with the order. The little butterfly is such a sweety. He seems so much happier in this tan now. He picks off the rocks, not the clams or SPS that I've seen. I'm hoping it will start accepting more prepared foods sooner rather then later. I'm going to be feeding the tank freshly hatched baby brine shrimp tomorrow morning; it triggers a feeding rampage in the tank.

I forgot to add I did include information from your site as well, and links that they could review at a later time.

I don't know what to tell you. It would be better to show them on their computer, where you can point to stuff and scroll up and down.

as usual very nice additions. I canàt wait to see your tank after all these grow a bit.
is that racoon butterfly really reefsafe? my understanding was that it was a No for all butterfly except maybe the CB?

yeah, that TMPCC pump gives me fits. It doesn't even meter correctly. Thanks for the idea on canning the pump. I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Catherine, check into LFS. We have one here that has a "hook up" and carries Interceptor.

Next time I make my rounds to the LFSs, I'll make a point to ask. Thanks for the suggestion, maybe someone there has a nice connection.

The beads that run with the ozonier are ALREADY exhausted, and bright pink. The system went online on Sunday, which is when the first bead-baking pictures were taken. I guess we will be re-charging them tonight, and bringing the system back online. Since Sunday we have slowly been raising the amount of ozone introduced into the tank, we are at 30% or 30mg/hr.

Per the RKE as of right now
ORP: 198 with ozonizer running at 30mg/h, which is quite low.
pH: 8.02
temp: 80.4
RKE display colour; bright-burn-your-eyes-in-their-sockets-pink

Between yesterday and today ORP swung from 183-234, pH 8.19-8.02, and temp is staying constant.

I also just realized I have been walking around ALL day with my fly undone...

Perhaps the beads were used up so quickly because it is humid where you have them located. That is one of the reasons I never used ozone on my reef. The fishroom wasn't dry enough and the beads would be spent too quickly.

I will try and relocate them tonight, and see if that helps. Any idea off the top of your head how long they should in theory last before requiring a re-charge? Anything wrong with re-charging them frequently? I send these same questions to Red Sea, but it will probably be a few days before I hear back.

So some somewhat big changes; I gave Kevin the go ahead to put a SMALL hole in the wall behind the tank. The room behind the tank is our "utility" room/storage/water making place. Over the next couple of weeks we are going to convert it to a water making place/ fish storage/dehumidifyer/ozonizer/misc. fish equipment storage aka a semi fish-room. We are also going to be making a few changes to how our top off is done, and possible even top off from the utility room.

The RKE is now running;
- top off pump
- kalk stirrer
- ozonizer
- skimmer
- ORP/ pH/ Temp probes

To add on;
- chiller
- heaters

We will need another power bar to do the lights. I am quite pleased though that we have not encountered any errors that I have seen in the DA forums. I still want to be able to sit down the play with the controller myself, as I have yet to do that, but things are seeming to be pretty intuitive, and the instruction manual is helping out.

The sump WILL be built either this weekend, or early next week. We finally have a space to build and dry the sump. The sump is what is holding up the remaining projects; skinning the tank, doing the final returns, and creating the storage shelving.
