Hi guys i am in the final stage of setting up my 180 gal tank, Plumbing....dummm dummm dummmmmm....

It seems that i dont have enough room under my tank to fit the snapper pump and all the nessicary plumbing fittings so i can remove te pump when i want too.

So i have a question.
Does it matter if you set up two sumps in series or parrell?
Will one sump get more water nutrients yada yada yada?

Due to space requirments i have gone from 2" to 1 1/2" pipe.

please see picture attached.

The Parrell set up would allow for no elbows before the pump in take.

i could use fexable pvc for the series but i hear you need special glue and im not sure i cant get it in bermuda.

any help would be greatly apreshated. ( i have been stairing at it for 3 nights now!!)
Thanks,

Dru

Regular PVC glue is fine for flex. Don't use primer though. 2 sumps in parallel allows you to control flow for different requirements in the two sumps (i.e. slow for DSB or fuge etc.) In series, you don't have that flexibility, but that is the main advantage I see.

why not use primer? Then whats all the fuss about needing specal glue? I dont want to empty my tank on the floor because i saved 20 dollars on glue.
