Hey guys... I was hoping to get some input on what I would like to stock in my tank. The tank is just about ready to start cycling soon so figured I should really start figuring this out. Here is what I've come up with so far and also I put them in order of what I think they would be introduced and quantity:

Firefish 1
Foxface 1
Banggai Cardinalfish 2
Regal Angelfish 1
Ocellaris Clownfish 2
Powder Blue Tang 1
Blue Tang 1
Yellow Eye Kole Tang 1
Bartlett's Anthias 3
Six Line Wrasse 1
Damsel 3
Diamond Watchman Goby 1

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

I think the tangs and regal should go in after the anthias.

The six line wrasse and damsels may be a problem with the firefish, anthias and cardinals so you probably should omit them (unless you try Talbots damsels - maybe).

Three tangs plus a regal angel fish might be too many grazers unless you have lots of rock and algae. Otherwise they will compete/fight with each other for territory.

I hope this helps and maybe a few more opinions to see if they agree with me or have had different experiences

The wrasse and damsels are what my wife wanted anyways lol. If I get rid of the damsels, what would be a good smaller and kind of schooling fish I could put in?

Thank you for the input!

First, the Regal should be the first 1 introduced in the tank, so it can established territory and eating good. Second, with chromis you can end up with one and they do pick each other off. Finally, I am assume when you say Blue Tang, you are referring to the Hippo Tang. They get really big and need something than a 180 gallon. Powder Blues can be very aggressive and IMO, a 180 is borderline with this fish, plus I don't know how it may act around the Hippo. I would be concern with the Regal surviving in that tank with 3 tangs and all 3 having the chance of being aggressive. I had tried to different Kole Tangs and both were very aggressive, complete jerks.
