180 Stocking list questions

Just looking for thoughts and suggestions on my stocking list for my 180 gal tank mixed reef (and 75 gal fuge + 100ish gal sump)

I currently have:
1 3 inch yellow tang
2 blue/green chromis
1 b&w clown
1 diamond goby

Looking to add:
1 more b&w clown - a juvi probably in 6 months or so, once mine gets bigger.
1 powder brown tang
1 copper band butterfly - well aware of the risk
harem of Anthias - possibly lyretail... not sure how many in this harem. Limits? certain number that works best?

Any suggestions on smaller colorful active fish that would work with my selections? Possibly a mandarin or a pair of them?

Lyretails would be a great addition. I would go with 4/5 females and let one change to male. Some people think that odd numbers are better but it doesnt really matter (fish cant count). Another good choice is a royal gramma.

My biggest concern I guess would be getting a harem that is too big. and a second decided to go male and then split the group into 2 harems... if that is even possible?

Wrasses are also kept harem style correct? but there is no gender changing like with the anthias?

How would a harem of wrasses and anthias do in a 180g?

tangs and wrasse. A school of yellow tangs would BA!

The tank is way to small for a "school" of tangs. 3 yellows may get along, but they may also tear each other apart. Regardless, once they mature they won't group together. Not to mention the bioload.

Many wrasses and some anthias do fine without a harem. I wouldn't do a group of each. Too many fish. If you want a shoal then look at cardinals.

I will probably just get a harem of one or the other. While I dont need the whole shoaling look. I like a group of similar looking fish in the tank.

great point. a school of assessors could be doable and BA! Anthias are good schooling fish to, colorful and active:spin1:
