If you paint it leave a strip down the side so you can see the water level at a glance.

Johnny just paint it ....i have 1500 gal outside as you know and i just vacuum it out every few months and its really not an issue

Do you vacuum to remove sand ?

Well went ahead and changed sand bed out as it was driving me crazy. I really don't like the look of crushed coral I thought it would stay nice and white but tends to purple up. So here are some photos before

Here some some after I vacuumed the sand out.
I did a 75 gallon water change a long take the sand bed out. Phosphate are at 0.00 with hanna checker before I pulled the sand bed out. I will check them again after.

Well updated my AWC tank. Save the space in my fish closet by removing 55 gallon barrel and going with a 150 gallon tank.

Where'd you pick that up? Tank looks great BTW, like the Fiji pink... Any algae or po4 issues yet?

No algae and ph04 0.00 with hanna checker. Tank I picked up from Albert on FMAS. Love the sand
