Well changed the bulbs out on my fixture. The mh t5 fixture I installed had old unknown bulbs. I went ahead and pick up 3 20k ushio mh bulbs and 4 powerchrome attinic+ . I have to say wow what a difference. I could not believe the pop these bulbs give.

Well finally got around to cleaning up my wiring mess cleaned up. I was going to take before and after but before was so scary it was embarrassing. I also cleaned up all my lines running the ATO and AWC setup.

Well updated my AWC tank. Save the space in my fish closet by removing 55 gallon barrel and going with a 150 gallon tank.

I'm pretty sure algae will grow in it. I don't know if it will hurt anything but it's annoying. You've seen my equipment outside in my little hut. My salt water barrel is in the corner where it does not get sun so that's not an issue BUT I have a few reactors on the wall and the sun just peaks in a few hours a day. If I don't keep them covered algae takes them over. I imagine the same would happen to the salt tank if the sun hit it. I cut the bottom of boys tube socks off and slide them up over the reactors, works great. You'll need really big socks...lol. Just keep your eye on it, you might have to cover it to block the light out. Everything is looking great Jonny, regards to your family:)

Thank you for th info. I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to go ahead and wrap it up. This should prevent the algae. I was thinking maybe if there is no phosphate in the water algae would not grow but who knows. Better safe than having my wife ask me why I have a green barrel in the backyard lol. Well I will tell the family you said high. As usual you always welcome to come by. As I am off Monday - Thursday

Johnny just paint it ....i have 1500 gal outside as you know and i just vacuum it out every few months and its really not an issue

If you paint it leave a strip down the side so you can see the water level at a glance.
I'll be calling you on a Monday or thurs - love to see what you've done since I saw it last :)
