O'rly? the skimmer i reccomended gets 2200 lph at 47w lol. pretty much the same pump i guess.

Yeah, those airstars are like the RD equivalents, yeah? The other main draw to the BK is that I know they will run silent. I don't know how quiet the airstars run.

And yes, the SM250 is 300 bucks less than the ATB large

The airstar is Extremely similar to the Red dragon, the Red dragon is supposed to have a special built motorblock but when non special motorblock gets the same mods it does 200lph more air and almost the same Watts. your welcome to draw your own conclusion.

i would say they are basically the same, Hahn can explain the difference in real detail i bet, and noise I have heard is not a problem with either pump. What's amazing to me is how much more efficient an Airstar/red dragon is than an eheim 1260...

Bart and Sang - LOL. Well, initially, I was only looking at BK, but other reefers pulled me into the ATB discussion, so I had to look into that. In the end, the SM250 won out over the ATB medium. I hope I made the right choice!

So tell me guys, what gave it away that I was going BK???
