i just got a 6101 and magnetic clip for use on my frag tank this morning.

somehow managed to sandwich one of my fingers between the magnets and **** that ****** hurt like a *****!!!!!

i have no doubt about that magnet anymore.

So you have finger sandwich for breakfast? :D

Ryan, be very careful with the tunze magnet. It hurts very bad when your finger stuck in there.

Heh I know this feeling all too well. I was taking a nano stream out of the tank and the magnets got caught on my hand. Let's just say I almost went to the ER that night. I couldn't imagine if it was my 6100 magnet.

6025 and 6045 use behind rock work. you must like all those wires in the display, maybe you need to moved the fridge into garage for the upgrade.

Sang - the nano magnet is weak. did you get a boo boo?!?! :D

Steve - Barts, right. I use the 2 nanos behind the rock just to keep water moving. It's not really for main flow. The 4 big Tunzes are the ones to keep my coral (and future Achilles tang) happy. I wonder if someone local can lend me 1 or 2 6201s to try before I pay to make the switch.

Ryan - yeah, the real magnets are strong!

Bart - Roger (Tunze) is prototype-testing wireles Tunzes for me, since Tunze now sponsers my tank :p

LOL, I don't use night mode. Maybe my fish sleep riding the current! :D Speaking of current, my Desjardini is crazy. I feed frozen brine by throwing a couple cubes onto the Tunzes intake so it shoots across the tank. Well, some brine always sticks to the grate, and Desjardini likes to come pick it off the 6201. He's swimming so hard to get up to the grate, gets blown away, but comes right back. So funny!

He's the little Desjardini that could. :) I've got one on my fish wish list. Are they prone to being a problem for other tangs?

That is how you feed your tank? I learn something new today :D. Normally i put all the tunze in feed mode to feed the fish. I don't want my fish to fly into the pump and get smashed.

i leave all my PH on so the food floats around. That way, the slower fish get to eat. If i just drop the whole cube in, the Tangs hoard all the food.

6201 is GREAT for instant thaw and chopping up the food. I put Rod's Food there, also and Formula One cubes :) My fish are used to me putting the food on the Tunze now. The Desjardini will even cheat and start eating the cube off the intake. All the other fish line up in front of the Tunze waiting for the food to shoot out.

The spirulina cubes have some gel coating that doesn't allow it to thaw, so it never gets sucked into the Tunze. I just drop that one in.

LOL, it's funny to watch his cheeks flap around in the current :D Desjardinis are pretty mild-mannered

After reading your last post i realized i have been too nice to my fish. I always thaw all the food, drain out the water, use tank water with some vitamin supplement and garlic, turn off all the PH then use the feeding tong to feed. All my fish get their food as i spread the food all over the tank. I always overfeed the tank (Because i have a large protein skimmer)

I soak my food in Selcon and garlic first, then throw it onto the Tunze. I don't dissolve it in tank water though.

If you rinse off the cubes in ro/di it helps a lot with any residual PO4.
I say try the 6201x3. My other 6201 and ATB L will be here next week :)

Jealous of who? Terry? :p

Jar*head, your flow is all this forum has been talking about. Where can I see it? I perused your thread and couldn't find it. Did I miss it somehow?
