Reefing Update

Reefing Update

OK, so I'm slowing getting back into the hobby. I turned off my calcium reactor after throwing out my SPS a few months back, so other than water changes, there have been no other supplementation to the tank. Nor have I checked my water paramenters the past few months

I was quite pleasantly surprised at my first test:

Ca 417
Alk 7
Nitrates <1
PO4 (Hannah) 0.03
Mg 1340

Not bad! I've been using Tunze salt. Other than the Alk being a bit low, I'm pretty happy.

I sold my reactor - going back to 2-part. I'll starting supplementing again, in hopes of getting my tank ready for coral again :)

haha, the man is back .... soon to be coral and all :D

If you do 2 part I like the liter meter III for dosing. Makes life very simple. Just need to watch concentration of mix. I used two part solutions stuff and mixed full strength...next time I will mix 1/2 strength.

Can we expect any of the 05 model tunze streams?

Those numbers (Ca, Mg and Alk) look great for Zeovit users. I'll have to consider using that salt when my new tank is set up. You don't have a K+ test kit, do you Terry?

O'sorry, I guess that does look a little odd. what I was too lazy to write was 6105,6205,6305?

Chad

Chad - gotcha. no 05's anytime soon. i got the call for a 6105 a while back, but passed after i read that an owner said they were loud. I'll wait til they iron that out.

Yup. It's just so tight in my stand that when I pulled the GEO out to clean it and change the media, it was a ROYAL PAIN IN THE A**! I swore to never ever do that ever again in my whole friggin life

Yes, they do look great for ZEO users. Sorry, I don't test K :(

Holy dead thread revival, Batman!

Sorry, no new tank pics, as there has been nothing new. No new coral or fish additions. Tank's doing well. What few coral I have left are growing.

Here's a shot of my latest project. Ultimate goal: Swap a Toyota MR2 turbo engine back there (yes it fits) :D
