the stand was built for a 120xh but changed my mind and decided to go bigger. decided on a 195 and then added an extra foot to the back of the stand. It worked out very well gave me a ton of more room in the stand which will be housing the new Four-way Oceans Motions on my closed loop.

Sounds like you got it all worked out there, if you need any help setting it up let me know.
Should be one blue tank.

well the day of reckoning if fast approaching. I will have the stand and canopy finished tonight if all goes according to plan. Hopefully I will be able to get this tank going this week, just waiting for my oceans motions to arrive.

Liam...I thought you were posting more pics tonight??

Actually I just got to see the tank in person a few hours ago..Its awesome!
I cant wait to see it all set up!!

6 x 30lbs Dry sand = 240lbs
5 x 10lbs Live sand = 50lbs

Sand is mixing in a 50 gallon rubber maid container with two maxijet1200's

I take it the unloading went ok..good job! I was surprised to see the clear glass overflow. Have you seen tanks in use with this design Liam? I would be interested to see if there will be visible algae problems with an overflow that the light can hit this way. I keep mine covered so algae won't grow in it.
I can't wait to see how it looks set up...good luck and keep posting pics!:)

after the rain yesterday, and that thing being in the back of your truck in front of the store you should have just backed the truck right into the house, left the water in it, and tossed some salt and fish in it, and you would be all set! BTW it was nice to meet you guys at SITC yesterday. The clam you guys forced me to buy has settled in nicely in my tank already, and looks great!

Haha very nice Liam.. did the little dog help you get the tank down from your truck? :)

I can't wait to see what you do with this one :)

Yo dude,
Was that you at SITC and SRC???
You should get the VHOs outside of the MH reflectors. The heat will kill the VHOs in short order.

mflamb.....that tank is awesome......yeah i cant wait to see it up and running..... hope you enjoyed your visit to orlando.......thanks for the advice with the VHO's i had not even considered the heat being an issue on those bulbs. i bought PFO reflectors the same that they use in there fixtures seeing that is how they house them i was just copying those.
