Such an impressive build thread and glad to see that there are still some who have the ability to go big while also creating tons of fun for the rest of us.

It’s looking great. I may have missed it in a prior post but are the panels removable for access for cleaning and what not?

Thanks it’s been a process..

No panels, I have access thru rear only.

Tank is too tall for me to do any work on from sides, only way to work in tank is to get in.

It’s 5 foot wide and 10 feet long. I have a ton of room.

I will only have to get in tank once every 3 months to scrub corners filled with coralline or not maybe the mighty magnets will get close enough to edges.

I have a closed loop system above the tank, so I will not have any pumps in display to service.

Light racks pull out to service lights.

As corals grow out I will dive in with hookah and trim and prune coral, my aquascape will allow me to move freely around scape. Think of Hawaii islands rock scape three spaced out bommies. I’m not gonna have a ton of acro’s maybe 5-10 frags on each rock. I want large full colonies to grow out. Not a bunch of crammed sticks growing into each other. Very minimalist coral scape.

I’m also thinking very small fish mostly schools of different anthias, maybe a few larger tangs like a sohal, Achilles, gem tang, and a zebra or convict tang. Tangs get huge quick and don’t want them to over grow my aquarium.

Feeding will be on a automatic fish feeder, and home made frozen food.

Here are some updates. My 240 watt Aqua Ultraviolet Ozone/UV came in mid last month.

Almost ready for plumbing, I have to figure out placement of everything in fishroom first.

They are the Ali express led bars with custom leds that I picked to mimic Orpheks color spectrum bars.

Like you said they all look the same nowadays and similar build quality. I took into consideration how fast led technology is andvan and figured I would want new lights in two years or less anyways. So wouldn’t hurt to try them out. Also if I did replace the led bars I would be able to use the led bars for any frag system to grow out coral from the main display.

Honestly I’m really impressed and the color spectrums I chose for the bars really looks great.
I don’t think I even need the kessil’s with roughly 2000 watts of bars.

They are on wifi smart timers and go on and off throughout the day. So 410-480’s in the morning, the mixed & 14k’s go on midday and finally ramps down to mostly 410-460’s

I wish that the AI Blades came out 6 months ago, if I were to do it again I would do 6-48” grows and 6-48” glows.

I might do that in the future, after a couple of years with the Ali bars.

I will have zero issues with shadows or corals not getting enough light even after I have full colonies grown out it will never be an issue.

Ya I saw those AliExpress bars on innapropriate reefer's channel. He was impressed as well. As for the Blade, there seems to be a lot of QC problems at this point so you would have likely been waiting for the bugs to be worked out.

Lol, me too! After that video he posted I started to dig in to the bars in general as I’ve been seeing a lot of reefers in Australia and other countries use a ton of led bars. It came down to the Orphek or Ali bars I chose the cheaper of the two. The orpheks have 5w LEDs to run them at lower power and cooler temps for led bulb life.

That is my only concern/gripe with the Ali bars is the drivers get really hot. And make sure you order them with extra cord length. Other than that they’re amazing.

Honestly not sure I would replace them unless they start going bad. We will see!

Sucks about the blades they are really cool tho.
