1st Crocea questions about "hole", feeding and suggestions

I recently, well lastweek, got two crocea super color clams 4-5". They sit approx 28" below 2-250w mh w/ 4 55w true atinics. I noticed the "hole" is not getting any smaller, not bigger, just not smaller. Is this okay?

Also, I use Reef Chili, has particles fom like 8-900, and use it everyother day for my corals and "stuff". Does this benefit the clams?

Last thing is suggestions to keep my buds healthy. Already planning a 30g clam tank, these I like.

at that size they dont need to be feed anything but light.

i would move them up closer to the light.

the in-current syphon "hole" is fine
