Hey Reeftard. I was going to start dosing vodka as well. I know to start off with a little, and slowly add more ( I was told to start with .02 mil and work up to 2 mil), straight vodka. What kind are you using?

I'm doing this myself, starting today actually. I picked up a bottle of Vladimir because it was the cheapest per volume.... there's no difference in the quality for our purposes. Check out the article in RK mag for the specifics, you basically start with 0.1ml per 25g and work up from there on a schedule:

Any chance someone has extra snails? I need some cerith and astrea.. I may go to that place in Mech since there's a 20% off coupon in the clipper this week - anyone been there recently?

I've been there, though I haven't been too fond of her "customer service" lately. I think they're struggling a bit.
 
Yeah, Jandree22 went there and waited around for 20 minutes and couldn't get any help, but it'd be nice to have a decent place closer than TFP..
 
The vodka was a joke. Sorry. I did the vodka for a while and totally whacked my system out. I would NOT recommend it to anyone. For me, it seemed my system got too "clean", if there's such a thing. Once I stopped the vodka, and had some crap in my tank again, my corals began coloring up. The vodka had all my corals paling out, etc. But the water was EXTREMELY clear.

So, my two cents...no vodka in the tank...vodka in the mouth.

When GOD starts putting Vodka in the Ocean, I'll start putting in my tank, till then I too will keep putting it in those funny shaped glasses along with some mixers and POOF - a martini is born!:D

Sorry fellas, I tried to move my schedule around to make the meeting but the reef gods wouldn't let it happen. My last gasp finally called me tonight and told me he couldn't work for me. Please keep me posted for the next meeting or anything in between. Have fun and drink one for me.

Well fortunately all was not lost for me... Flyers took care of the Pens with relative ease. We ended up getting back into the area around 5:30.

Anyway, how'd things go peeps? :)
