also if anyone has a link to Bobby's moving light rail please post it.. I would like to pick one up..

Bobby has two moving light rails. One goes in a circle, and one goes in a straight line. The straightline ones can be found at That Fish Place. I'm unsure about the price, but I belive they're up in the 300-ish range.

I would check eBay. That's where he got the circular one.

Hmmm, the Susquehanna Reef Club appears to have only male members... is that by design? Too bad I just got to this thread now, the day after. I'll look for updates if you guys decide to meet again.
Not by design at all, just seems like it is a male dominated hobby. You are more than welcome to join up with us. We are working on the next get together. Hope to see you when we decide on a place. Have a good day.
Matt

On the light rails, surf some hydroponics web sites. They are a good source for light fixtures that move.

Thank you to the Susquehanna reefers for some early Christmas presents!

Still have more mushroom if anyone would like to give them as stocking stuffers!

Hey Matt!

Thanks again for EVERYTHING!!!

I owe you big time. And Bobby too.

BTW, what is that crazy purple with yellow coralites you gave me??? Not the tri-color, this was in an unmarked container.

Whatever it is, it looks incredible... for now... lol

I thought the sign on the clubhouse door said no girls allowed:D

Ran some test sunday and got some not to good results

CAL : 270 the past two days i used buffer and got it up to 370. By the way thank you for buffer negro. I need to dose 1 more time and i will have it at 420 i understand you want it around 400 - 440

Mag : 1050 i managed to get it to 1470 today. I understand this is decent.

Alk : 5.6 managed to get it up to 9. thank you again negro. This is the only one I'm not sure about I have heard various things for 13 - 17. what do you guys find it best at?

Thank you ahead of time for any comments or advice.

Oh P.S. My Anemone went retarded this morning and retraced all the way under a rock and flatted himself when my six line attacked food in his mouth this morning. He looks lovely, he screwed himself up good.

Hey Justin, your levels are good, except for the CA, 400-425 is good, no need to go higher than that. The key here is to keep it stable at these levels, Alk, IMO, is the one that really needs to be kept at a certain range and don't stray from it too much, or do it slowly when lowering or raising. Alk ranges are from 6-12 DKH, I'm not saying to let it swing from 12-6, but these are the acceptable ranges for that parameter. I'd keep it at 8.5-9. My tank when I was using two-part would drop a full Alk point in a days time, ex I would try to keep it at 9 but would drop to 8 before I added more the next day. Keep the Mag above 1300ppm and you should be good.
You can try to keep these levels stable with supplements, or through more frequent water changes(that is how I handle my tank, not much in the way of supplements, just religious water changes), I guess the money I don't spend on supplements, I spend in salt.
I hope you didn't shock any of your corals with adjusting your parameters so quickly(this is just my opinion buy I'd say a .5-1 point increase in Alk, 40ppm increase in CA, and 120ppm increase in Mag per day at the max, again just my opinion), that may be why the nem is not feeling so great, IDK. Have a good one, let me know if you need anymore help. Keep your levels stable and the tank tends to balance out.

Ahh! Finally, its out in the open!

While I won't have much in the way of coral frags you guys will be interested in, I am interested in the frags that you guys are dying to get rid of -- no SPS for me! Toadstools, colts, 'shrooms, polyps --- thats my thing.

On a totally different note, I'm less than 2 miles from Treasures from the Sea, so if anyone ever wants to know what is in stock, you can always ask me to drop by. They are pretty heavily stocked right now; not sps so much, but some green hammer frags, some frogspawn, giant cup mushrooms, a nice size carpet anemone... I'm not sure of the prices (nor do I know what a decent price would be.) I just saw them and they looked nice.

You are close to lpkenneys(Mechanicsburg) and m0nk(Camp Hill), I live in Lewisberry which is like 10 or 15 min away. I hope you can make the next meeting, my wife was really excited to see a girl reefer(she is not one, but excited none the less to meet you sometime). I'm sure some of the other guys have stuff to trade with you, I'm sorry I don't, other than some pulsing Xenia. I do have some generic Zoa's(I'm not a Zoa nut so I don't know what their designer names may be, I just bought them cause they looked cool at the time). I mainly have SPS to frag out(you'll be there someday, it just seems to be the natural progession through the hobby for a lot of people). Have a good one and hope to see you at the next get together.
Matt

:eek2: 6pages, soon to be 7, let's keep it going guys/ladies.:eek2:

The cal point jump is what was recommended by what i dosed. The mag lvl yeah i know i dosed to much to quick. It was my first time doing it and the second day i dosed to much. I did not mean to bump it as high as fast as i did it was a miscalculation on my part. I learned a valuable lesson. Always double check. The anemone actually crawled under a rock and it kinda fell on him a little i believe this is the cause of his injuries.

Hi Elysia, it's nice to see you have developed the Addiction to this hobby the rest of us have had to live with all these years! LOL... I see you are interested in soft corals, and I have quite a few in need of good homes, as well as a small maroon clown that is hosting a frogspawn at the moment, let me know what you are looking for and I probably have some somewhere.
And if you have the time definitely join our group, these guys, can teach you more than you ever wanted to know about this hobby, learn from our mistakes, "it's a lot cheeper" :-)

How many toadstools would you like?

I've got some stuff you might like and I'm pretty close, in the midst of "downtown" Camp Hill. I have tons of mushrooms (including some ricordia yuma), zoanthids, and some LPS. Let me know if you want to stop by some time and take a look. I have a large rock covered in purple spotted mushrooms that I could give you a good price on.

As for Treasures from the Sea, sorry to say but Tricia has annoyed me to the point where I likely won't be shopping there any more. I miss the previous owner, Chris... she did a great job and was really knowledgeable, plus, she took coral frags for store credit.

Hey Bobby, have you had any issues with cyano while using the Reef BioFuel? That's my main complaint about the vodka, I hate cyano and stopped using the vodka after only a few days because it caused a huge cyano outbreak all over my sandbed.

Hello all ,Sounds like it was a great meeting that I missed hope to make it to the next one ,it was just short notice for me this time .

Oh, well i guess i should show you some pics of what i got since none of you have any idea. Ill charge up the batteries and take some pics in a couple hrs.
