1st water change

I have a 150 gal tank SW. Should my 1st water change be 10%?

how much bioload? are you still cycling it? 2 weeks i would say no

Yeah I second that wait till your tank is fully cycled then do a 10 percent. Fully cycled I would say is when ammonia nitrite and nitrates are 0

It has actually been 5 weeks and the tank has already cycled. Currently have 6 chromis, 1 banded goby and a assortment of snail, crabs and shrimp. But I guess your answer is the same 10%.

Yeah 10% should be fine that is what I was recommended I do it every week some people do 20% every other week I rather change less at a time less work in my opinion

I would do 20% and get use to doing them every month depending on your bio load. A lot of people are doing 10% every two weeks though.

My tank is smaller, but I do 20% every two weeks. But again, my 20% only equals 5g! LOL!
