2 bulbs on my Teklight T5 6x54w not firing up

The fixture is about two years old (bought from PA). Two of the middle bulbs are not firing up. It doesn't appear to be the tubes as I changed positions using other tubes and no matter what bulbs I place in those positions, no light comes on. Do you think it is the endcaps? How easy are they to replace? Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about the issues with the Tek Light. It sounds like you most likely have a ballast that has gone out. If you contact Sunlight Supply directly at 888-265-9005 they can get a replacement out for you.

If you need anything from me on our end please let me know.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy,
Thanks for the reply. I don't believe it is the ballast as the two other bulbs on the same ballast are working. I'm going to order the endcaps today. Thanks.

Hi,

I apologize I think I misread your original post. The endcaps are most certainly the cheaper way to go if that is the issue. Also, the way the Tek light's are wired if you have a bad bulb in one of the slots, then two bulbs will not fire. Take 4 bulbs that you know are working, and put them in the middle four positions. This will tell you right away if you have a bad bulb, or if it's a ballast / endcap issue. If this is what you have already done, and the same two are still not firing up, then it's most likely and endcap / wiring issue.

The 6 x 54w Tek has the front bulb and back bulb on the same ballast, and then the middle four bulbs on the same ballast.

Thanks,
Jeremy
