(2) clowns gone missing within 24hrs

So yeah I think somebody kidnapped my clownfish but I haven't gotten a ransom note yet. I left for work yesterday morning with two happy clownfish swimming around. 8 hours later I returned home to only one swimming around. I checked the compartment behind the false wall, the carpet, and all my crabs were out front so they weren't haveing a snack. I then had to leave for my second job and came back 4 hours later to my second clown missing. Again the crabs were out front, the floor was empty and nothing in the back compartment. I was hoping they were hiding in the rockwork but this morning I fed a little and the only fish to come out was my catalina gobie.

Perhaps an anenome that got a snack out of a hosting clown fish? I know that happens sometimes, but I see no mention of your tank inhabitants as far as corals/inverts go.

Maybe the tank rock structure moved and the fish got stuck in the tank somewhere?

Yeah as for inhabitants it was just the (2) clowns and (1) catalina gobie and a few crabs.

As for coral all I have is zoa's. I think I might need to check the carpet again. I just thought it was weird that both went missing in the same day. I can understand if one had an infection or something and died and a few days later the 2nd one got sick and died but both in the same day with the other fish doing fine. I'm going to have to check again tonight. LOL.

Aliens for sure! They put little spy satellites in their eyes and bring them back later so when you're face level watching your fish, "they" can see you....:crazy1:

I had a mandarin pulled up by the HOB filter once when the tip fell off. Couldn't find him anywhere and when I went to check the filter, there he was.
