2 Cool things for today

I did two cool things today. I am listing these in order of timing, not how they should be ranked.

First - I started the Neptune Fusion open beta. Very cool interface and very easy to configure for lighting and Vortech settings. No camera interface yet but it's said to be coming. I have a new DropCam to aim from top down for live/remote viewing.

Second - I was able to finally go see Elliot's tank in person. The sheer planning and configuration of his setup is mind boggling. I could have easily stayed all day staring at all the spectacular corals and fish. Not only was everything healthy, but also popping with color. It was nice to see a couple old corals of mine thriving in another local tank.
I plan to be back there soon with my camera. It is like he has a public aquarium in his family room. Needless to say, I had a hard time glancing over at my "fishbowl" when I got home. STUNNING!

Elliott's tank is something to behold as is his setup. As someone who lives way too close to both Elliott and Ryan, I have a bad case of tank envy.

Those who own boats know of a very serious condition called footitis. You always want a boat with more feet.

I think there is a similar condition in reef keeping known as gallonitis. Symptoms include a sudden desire to install a viewing window in your pool, the conversion of a bathroom to a saltwater changing station, and a compulsion to empty your bank account after viewing a variety of craigslist listings. Unfortunately, there is no cure although chronic gallonitis can be managed by multi-nano-tank therapy.
