I have two baby max's...the most recent one was not in great shape but for 20 bucks and the stunning colors the clam had, I bought it anyway with the intent to nurse it back to health. After a week of daily bowl feeding with dts its back on course...more mantel extention and the incurrent siphon is healing. I also have been feeding the other older baby max that I have had for 3 months now along with the new one, and it seems to be putting on some extra shell.......I will continue to feed daily untill the new clam is fully extend and im satisfied that it is fully recovered....But I think that these baby clams should be feed by the bowl technique at least 3 times a week...a key is not to put too much DTs in the bowl at one time it will cause the clam to cough it back up....just add enough to get a slight green cloudy tint to the water....I just use a 3mls to a cup of water...for two baby maxs no longer than one inch......
I personaly enjoy the baby clams and take great pride in raising them up for braging rights and simply just enjoy watching them grow....but if you dont want to take the time or are unable to feed them at least three times a week then definitly dont purchase them....
