2 different color star polyps next to each other

i have one GSP colony right now and im gonna geting a redish/white star polyp colony later and i was wondering if i could put both colonys next to eachother/touching. also, how would this work? would they interfuse there skinline bottom stuff or just grow next to each other and not go over each other?

You shouldn't have a problem placing them next to each other. Given time though, I would think which ever one grows faster would basically just smother the other one. One mat growing over the other.

anyone else ever try this or have an opinion on what will happen?

I have green and brown growing together....havent had any issues of one growing over the other that I can see.
