I know most advise the ratio of 3 or more female anthias to one male. I currently have one femail lyretail but would like to add a second female in my 125. What are the odds it would work out?

Now im not expert on anthias here, but i dont think theres no need to worry. I mean, theyre just fish, im sure you could add another anthias...they might like eachother and swim together...or they might hate eachother and fight...all depends on the fish.

2 females should work fine, until one morphs into a male. Then the male may harrass the female too much

OK. Thanks. My LFS currently has another female that I could add right away to my tank. Then I'll ask them to order me a male after a month or so. Two females and one male would work long term wouldn't it?

I wouldnt buy a male. If your current "female" has been alone for a while, she is already turning into a male. Get females and let one turn into a male (most likely your current one). If you get them at an LFS I would get them from a tank that has multiple. If they are alone they may also be turning into males.
