2 firefish gobies together

I've had one firefish for some time now and I haven't seen it for several weeks. I assumed it died so I went and bought another one last night. Sure enough, when I got home I saw the firefish in my tank at it ate. I put the second firefish in my QT. Assuming the second firefish makes it, can I add it to my display tank which is a 150g reef?

What I think he is saying is that he had 1, it disappeared so he bought another. The first one was still alive so now he has 2, will they coincide?

I have had one firefish in my tank for almost a year. Then 2 months ago added 3 more.
Haven't noticed any fighting and they all kind of stay near each other.
This is in a 120.

hmm I have 5 scizzortail goby's 3 red firefish and 3 purple firefish in the same tank with no issues at all they actually spend most of their time together. I wouldn't worry about it

p.s. this is just from my experiance with these fish but I think they do better when there not alone they are shy and seem to feel more secure with other goby's around.

I have a red, purple and a Helfrichi in a 29g nano and they all hang out together. When the lights go out they all go into the same cave.

In that large a tank, probably they'll be fine. I'm here to tell you 2 in a 54 does NOT work.

Well, first of all, firefish do not school or shoal. Secondly, in most reasonably sized tanks, unless you end up with a pair, in the long run, you will have one.

I had 2 Helfrichi's for about 7 months, then 1 day last week I came home from work, looked in the tank and saw one killing the other. sucked watching an $80 fish killing another $80 fish
