we've had our ups and downs, the down mostly being his loss of appetite. he just stopped responding to mysis and krill, he was still very sticky but would just hold onto the food for a minute then let go. it was almost like he didn't recognize it as food at all. in desperation i finally switched back to silversides, the first piece was placed right next to his mouth and he eventually shovelled it in. the following pieces ( every other day or so ) have been greedily grabbed and munched up with very little hesitation.
it tough to do a colour comparison because i have switched bulbs ( 400W 14K SE aqua connect ) that give my pics a very pinkish tinge. this isn't the case in real life and i have tried to figure out how to adjust my camera but......... he has a definite healthy brown colour to him and only looks somewhat white in these pics because he is about 24" directly under a bulb.
my false percs still can't be bothered to swim across the 3' to this deluxe apartment in the sky, they still love their PVC elbow.
he has moved around a bit but stayed within ~6" - 8" of his original place. at first he seemed to be avoiding the flow and moved accordingly each time i adjusted it. then one day he started to move toward one of my seio 1500's, it was almost scary to watch as he flapped in the current. i moved the seio up a bit and re adjusted the rest of the powerheads to try and give him the chaotic flow i know he desires.
let me know what you think

the blurry spots are because i am using a regular camera and the focus can't keep up with the flailing tentacles
