2 more clowns?

My girlfriend bought a nice false perc (1-3/4") to get her 24g going. I have a black/white (prob female cuz she's bigger, abt 2-1/4", and a false about 1-1/2") in my 55g

She insists on getting a TRUE perc, so my question is:

can I get a another black/white and put it in HER tank for a while, then take BOTH and introduce them in my 55? Im getting my T5 (216w x 48") setup this weekend, and have plenty of live rock, and should be getting an anemone or 2 maybe, along with other corals.

you guys think this is a bad idea?

her false and your b&w are both occelaris clownfish, it is somtimes possible to pair occelaris up with a true perc but not a definate, could be alot of problems and fighting, you would have better luck with adding either another orange occelaris or b&w occelaris however I dont recomend doing this and then putting all 3 into a 55 gal tank, that is to small for that many clowns and the best way to put it is 3 is a crowd fits very well for clowns, clowns are usually good (unless the female gets angry) in pairs but not in trios.

Also in a 55 gal tank I do not recomend more than 1 anemone and also wait for the tank to mature before adding one, new tank fluctuations can be to much on an anemone

Well you are asking for trouble with this possible situation. It would have been much better if you purchased all the clowns at once of the same color. This way you could have started a family. For a family to function you need one female, one male and the rest HAVE to be juveniles. What you are doing is throwing clowns into a tank that have been seperated. I wouldn't do it. As far as getting an anemone, I would wait up to 8 months. Yes, I know that can be a while but if you really care about what goes into your tank then wait. If you don't have the patience this hobby ain't for you. ;)

When you do get an anemone, stick with one, I learned that the hard way. :D

Good luck

sounds good, I'll probably recommend that she trade in her false for credit toward something else then. our LFS is cool like that.

I can wait for an anemone, no problem. my 2 clowns get along great now, so I wont add any more.

thanks for the feedback
