I just got these a few days ago, and was wondering if they are healthy. One of them is alot duller in color compared to the other, The colorful one does not extend out very much.

I have them in a 40G breeder with 96 watts of VHO and 150 watt MH.

Colorful one, that dont extend very much.

The one on the left looks to be gaping and is retracted. It does however have new growth on the rightside of the mantle. How did you acclimate them and did it look like that when you got it?

The right one looks okay, but he isn't fully open or anything.

What are your water parameters? and how is the flow where they are situated?

Hope this helps.

My water conditions are fine. I only dose Calcium once per week.

The clams looked that way when i got them. They are from a friend. They look a bit better this morning, except now they keep hopping off the rocks I set them on.

:)

do you do anything to maintain your Alk?

I do not use anything to maintain my Alk, and my PH is good at 8.2 -8.3.

The clam that do not open much is now dead. The other one is thriving however. I hate to use my tank as a rescue shelter, but I really felt bad for that clam at the LFS.
