I have always wanted a peacock, and my LFS could order one for me. A week later, 2 mantis arrived..

The first one is about 7cm long. Brown/cream, mottled.. Legs, uropod and antennas are blue-green. Meral spots orange.

The other one is 11cm long. This one is also mottled, but the color is cream and white. Legs, uropod and antennas are pink. I don't know the color of the meral spots yet..

Both came from Indonesia.

Does anyone recognize any of this? I'll try to take some pics later, but they are for the time being a bit shy.

if you dont see the leopard spotting, you dont have any peacocks there. the first might be G. graphurus or glabrous, the second sounds like G. chiragra, but those are tentative IDs. Im reluctant to even guess on just a description.

Yes, I have both, but only room for one of them so the chiragra is for sale..

Here is a pic of the glabrous in his new home:

How is your glabrous 's activity?
Does he pay alot or some attention to you?
Does he ignore you and go about his business?
Does he just hangout in his den all day?

As of now, he does pay me some attention, but he semms to be busy much of the time. I can hear him working out or something.. ;) He seems to be interested in what i'm doing, but i'm interested in what he's doing so we jus sit there staring at eachother.. ;) -Untill he gets sick of it and wander of..

I would say he's an active and tough guy. Although he is relative new, he eats whatever I feed him and takes frosen food right off the feeding stick..
