2 pairs in same tank?!

I currently have an immature pair of Ocellaris clowns in my 55 gal tank...they're about an inch and a half, and have been in this tank for about a month and a half...I got them at the same time from my LFS (assuming they're related, as they were in the same tank with a bunch of other young ones)...

Is it possible to add another pair of young clowns (black and white ocellaris) of slightly smaller size to the tank, or will I be upsetting the atmosphere...my clowns are pretty docile, and keep to themselves...I have never seen them bully the other fish, but then again, they are in with damsels, a goby, and an algae blenny...

Any insight would be appreciated...thanks

They will kill when they get older. I tried this in my 65 with no sucess, but I know a person who has two mature pairs in her 240

I agree with FishboyBT. I put two juvenile black and whites and two juvenile orange ocellaris in my 150G. The B&W's seem to be slightly more agressive. The larger Orange was slightly larger than the larger B&W but the B&W has outgrown the orange one and taken on the dominant role. The two larger clowns have paired and they both accept the smaller orange but I had to remove the smaller B&W. The smaller orange may have to be remaved later.

i did it for a while in a 180 with a lot of rbta on one side and 3 big gbta on the other side well it work for a while than both pair decided they didnt want the other pair in any bta at all so i had to remove a pair they did bite or mess up fins but chased each other all day long it stressed the the female B&W til her face turned back orange than i removed that pair and put them in thier own tank and now our face back all black
so i will say no it not a good thing to try 2 pair one tank

Thanks everyone for the replies...everything I have read pretty much says the same, but I wanted to hear from actual people...guess I'll have to wait for the pair of B&Ws until I get my 24g set up...patience...thanks again

Wish choice. :)

Heck even keeping a pair can be tough at times. My female B&W ( after 3 months of acceptance ) harassed the male until it jumped out of the tank. :(
