2 petco Gigs

Hi, I learned from a member here that a Petco in our area had a few gigs so I decided to go check them out. They had 4 but only 2 looked decent so I took them home. I setup a 10g TT with DT water and started Cipro treatment. Are these normal behaviors for newly introduced Gigs? thanks

Here's a video from about 11:30 pm to 5:30 am.

Not a problem all. They are looking really good, making me think twice about passing up on them haha. Only thing is I'm not sure if I could keep them in my tank. Keep the updates coming, I'd like to see them in the dt soon.

First post 2nd pic from left on the cup, those purple spots are typical of a gig, pretty sure that is what you have.
Look to be in good shape from what I can tell.

They actually look like a burnt orange to me, which is indicative of helianthus.

I would like to see more photos of the verrucae. What color are they? Hard to tell in the photos. The nems appear to be gigs in some photos, but have characteristics of helianthus in other photos -- especially the later photos where the tentacles appear to be very evenly spaced.

D-nak is def on the right track im pretty sure they are atlantic. I have seen gigantea haddoni and mertens look purpleish in different lighting.

I think he's absolutely right. $25 each takes them :)

I think it would be great if someone was bored enough to compile a list of the clown hosting nems ID guide so that we could sticky. Kinda like what to look for in ID'ing them such as certain feature on each nem. I would but I'm not experienced enough with nems.
