$2 soap dish

I got this $2 soap dish from target and thought it would be awesome to use as a mini frag tank. I plan on adding some eggcrate and a few frag plugs. It's nice because it's not too big or too small (2.5"H x 6.5"W x 2.25"D), it has small holes in the front and on the bottom for water movement, and it's clear so you can see the frags and you don't need supp. lighting. Also, for those of you that don't have a refugium you could stick some chaeto in there and have the benefits of a small refugium. I will be keeping at at the top of the tank so frags can't escape through the top. This is the only picture I have because the tank's lights are already off. I will update after I add everything. They also had larger ones for those of you with a big tank or if you have room in your sump/refugium.

We buy the smaller single bar dish from Target and use them in all of our tanks including the Nano cube. Put some eggcrate in the bottom and frag plugs fit right in. Been working great for Zoos, SPS frags, Kenya tree frags growing out etc. Watch them though because after time the suction cups stiffen and start to slide down the glass....Another great one is the corner shelf they have that gives a little more space to place corals on :)
Here is one at work in Sons nano...

Sorry to post pics before you did but wanted to give you some other ideas on the other sized trays...East side reefers like these things too :)

And one keeping Anthelia from spreading onto my rocks..It eventually grew through the holes in the dish encasing the bottom.

Wish I woulda seen this before I cut up my big 'ol Rhodactis. Would look much cleaner than a bunch of rocks rapped in wedding veil

good idea to place those frags up high and the little broke off pieces so they don't get lost...........gee, you guys are clever!!

I don't particularly like keeping it in my tank, but it's great for acclimating new frags to your lighting, as you can easily adjust the height over a one week period.

Thanks. It's doesn't really stand out in my tank that much because my tank is only viewed from the front pane. The only problem I had were the suction cups not holding well. I switched out the suction cups with some heater/powerhead suction cups ands it holds really well now. I'll still have to get more plugs and stuff but here are some more pics.

Pico1 Looks great! Another option although it takes up more space than the other dish options is the corner shelf at Target also. I use it for SPS frags buddies give me. Keeps them higher up until they grow out more. Bad pic as taken with Actinics on but gives you an idea... Wont slide as easily since its anchored on 2 sides so more weight can go in it.
