20 gal nano rebuild

Exactly. (Good read, thanks Jim.)

Your rock was bleached, so it really isn't Live anymore, but doing Water changes minimize the Spikes and valleys, chemically. Like they said, you'll arrive at the same place, so I'd treat the new tank like an established one and DO the Water Changes, skim and light as normal.

Another thing: Sand. When you added your sand, was it "Live" with active bacteria? If so, that's great and will jump start your bacteria bloom.

yup it was a new bag of wet live sand, currently im not running a skimmer right now but i will be getting a pak-pak for it in a couple weeks

Spousal Unit here,

After many many weeks of being so patient I am finally able to put in some of my corals into my 20 gallon... There are still a few more I need to add along with little small snails to clean the Alge on the glass... ( Any Suggestions !!! Welcome)
But thought I'd share the pics ... I still have to glue some of the corals like my moti caps that I love ... EnJoY !!!!!

Hey Jim,do you have the skimmer already,if not I have one.I always do water changes during the cycle period. 25% every 2 weeks.

Question..~~~ !!!!!

I know Jim has told me that this is a form of alge, and probably snails or whatnot to get for it ... corals seems to be doing fine but what can I really get to get rid of this??? and make the water clear ????
Suggestions pls ..
thank you

Darlene, did Jim get the Skimmer yet? I know he's wating for the tank to cycle, but you're already Stocked with softies. (Read: ...belching out all sorts of "whatnot".)

Scrape the glass for starters, and are you feeding any phyto? ...or veggie food? If so, stop for a while and limit the food supply, until you get that skimmate captured.

Other than that, I like your choice & placement. It's gonna be a great looking little tank, once things acclimate and grow in.

hey marty,
there is a DIY back skimmer that he put there, and he told me that the tank is okie now to be put with softies lol ... and I scrape the glass all the time ...
but feeding phyto or veggie food , not i haven't feed anything..
the softies have been there for 3 days now, so far doing well lol.
thanks for your suggestions marty!!!1

Darlene here,

Here is what I have added so far to my tank, and so far seems like everything is doing great, the green alge prob seems to be going away some ( Jim ) just added more flow in my tank. Also painted the back part of the tank too, hopefully the water will clear up really well.
I can't wait to get the Devil's finger from marty hehe,,,,
