20 gal skimmer

ok i bought the RIO nano skimmer and the stupid thing is noisy and only skimmed for a few hours. ive been tweaking the stupid thing constantly but cant get it to work. any suggestions on a skimmer for such a small tank.
two things im looking for are easy to set up and QUIET! (its in my bedroom)

i have a 20 gallon long its 30"x12"x12"

octo bh100. just over $100+shipping, will skim the living crud out of your 20L. I have a 100F (more expensive and a little more efficient) on my 20L and it's too much, the crud doesn't get into the cup because the skimmer's pulling the little stuff out too fast.
